"At a joint meeting of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Romania, a political Declaration was adopted recognizing the Holodomor (the purposeful man-made famine of 1932-1933 in Ukraine) as a crime against the Ukrainian people and against humanity," the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in Romania reports.
Before the meeting, the exhibition entitled “The uncondemned genocide of Ukrainians repeats” about the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine and the crimes of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people opened in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Romania.
The exhibition was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in Romania together with the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Romania Ihor Prokopchuk, representatives of the Parliament of Romania, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Bucharest, representatives of the Ukrainian national minority and mass media of Romania took part in the opening ceremony.
As reported, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba called on German partners to "reject Moscow's lies" and recognize the Holodomor as the genocide against the Ukrainian people.
