The Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg will meet President Putin tomorrow. The meeting takes place under the auspices of Russia’s international Arctic forum, “Arctic Territory of Dialogue”, which is held in St. Petersburg.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office (SMK), as part of the program, Solberg will, among other things, participate in a high-level panel together with President Putin and other heads of state and government, including from other Nordic countries.
SMK confirmed that a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Solberg and President Putin will also take place during the Forum. Foreign Minister, Ine Eriksen Søreide (H), will participate in the forum with her own professional and bilateral program.
We appeal to the Norwegian Prime Minister not to forget that Putin is in war against another European country. We appeal and encourage the Norwegian Prime Minister to point out this. It is not acceptable nor to accept that Putin inflict suffering and death to the Ukrainian citizens. So far, more than 13,000 people have been killed and this cannot be forgotten by the Norwegian Prime Minister.
