Ukrainian Rada speaker calls on Norway to recognize Holodomor as genocide of Ukrainian people
Johan Ludwig Mowinckel played an important role in helping the Ukrainian people during the Holodomor genocide against the Ukrainian people in 1931-32.
The Norwegian government had recognizing of Holodomor as a case as early as in 2008. But the ex-Foreign Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre refused to recognize Holodomor as a genocide.
During a meeting in 2017 with President of the Norwegian Storting (Parliament) Olemic Tommessen, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy has called on Norway to recognize Holodomor as the genocide of the Ukrainian people.
Further documentation is now available and we at S2PU urge today's government to re-examine this.
